Our aim with the Storm Bay range is to produce wines of complexity, elegance, food compatibility and longevity. Undoubtedly the most important part of this formula is the quality of the fruit, and we are rigorous in selecting only the best grapes from several vineyard sites around Tasmania. The Storm Bay range of wines is sold in the
United States only.
Colour: Medium intensity bright straw-green.
Bouquet: White stonefruit and melon flavours reflect the ripe Chardonnay fruit, while delicate grapefruit, creamy and toasty flavours have resulted from the fermentation, lees contact and maturation in French oak barriques.
Palate: The aroma continues on to the palate, and is further enhanced by firm, but balanced acidity resulting from the non-use of malolactic fermentation. This acidity provides elegance and “tightness” of structure which, in turn, ensures food compatibility and longevity.
Ageing potential: At least 5 years.
Alcohol: 13.5% v/v.
Packaging: 750 mL Antique green burgundy bottles, Reference 1 corks, 12 bottles per carton.
